Awedesk 1.8.0 is out, introducing Rich Text Editor in Replies, dark mode & configurable colors, new ticket controls and Awedesk App push notifications (requires in-app purchase).

Rich Text Editor

Rich text editing is now gradually rolling out to Awedesk, starting with the Reply screen. It supports essential formatting options like bold, italic, underline, lists, and links. In the near future, we’ll expand the Rich Text Editor to other areas, including ticket composing and signature editing.

This update greatly enhances the experience for both agents and clients, offering a familiar, intuitive interface for replies and making it easier to format and organize text effortlessly.

Dark mode, configurable colors

Awedesk now supports an optional dark mode. You can also modify a “primary color” used in buttons and links, to further adjust the Awedesk interface to your website look & feel.

New ticket controls

We have introduced new options in single tickets: “allow client close” and “allow client reopen”. The control the ability of client to close and reopen the tickets respectively.

“Prevent auto-close” was renamed to “allow auto-close”.

Signature editing

Agents can now edit their signatures in the front-end, in their preferences panel. Editing agent signatures in the admin panel was moved to Awedesk > Agents.

Mobile App

We are gradually rolling out a premium subscription for the Awedesk app. In the free version, users will be limited to one workspace at a time and will not receive push notifications. A $4.99/month or $49.99/year in-app subscription will unlock support for multiple workspaces and enable push notifications.

This change has currently been rolled out only to iOS. The Android app is expected to adopt the same model in the coming months. Until then, the Android app will continue to operate without these limitations.
