This quick start gets Awedesk from activation to a working support flow.
Step 1: Confirm Awedesk Is Active
1. Open WordPress admin. 2. Open Plugins. 3. Confirm Awedesk is active. 4. Confirm the Awedesk menu appears. 5. Open Awedesk, then Dashboard.
Step 2: Create Support Pages
1. Open Pages. 2. Create or choose the customer support page. 3. Create or choose the staff support page if staff should work from a separate page. 4. Open Awedesk settings. 5. Assign the customer and staff support pages. 6. Save settings.
Step 3: Configure Access And Security
1. Open Accounts & Security. 2. Decide whether customers can continue as guests. 3. Decide whether the register and forgot password links should appear. 4. Enable ReCAPTCHA for public support forms when needed. 5. Save settings.
Step 4: Create Staff Structure
1. Create departments. 2. Add agents and managers. 3. Assign staff to departments. 4. Add labels for common triage needs. 5. Add predefined replies for common answers.
Step 5: Test The Workflow
1. Open the customer support page while signed out. 2. Create a test ticket. 3. Open the staff support page as staff. 4. Reply to the ticket. 5. Confirm notifications arrive. 6. Close the ticket and confirm the final state.
