How To Configure Emails And Notifications

Emails keep buyers informed about orders, refunds, subscriptions, invoices, dunning, and licenses.

Email Templates

AweCommerce includes templates for:

  • Paid order receipt.
  • Refund receipt.
  • Payment failed.
  • Software license keys.
  • Subscription welcome.
  • Subscription renewed.
  • Subscription cancelled.
  • Trial ending.
  • Invoice issued.
  • First dunning attempt.
  • Final dunning notice.
  • Dunning recovered.

Configure Sender

1. Open AweCommerce, then Settings. 2. Open Email settings. 3. Set sender name. 4. Set sender email. 5. Set reply-to email. 6. Set support email. 7. Save.

Edit A Template

1. Open AweCommerce, then Emails. 2. Choose a template. 3. Review the default subject. 4. Review the default body. 5. Add override text if needed. 6. Preview. 7. Send a test email. 8. Save.

Reset A Template

1. Open Emails. 2. Choose the template. 3. Use Reset. 4. Confirm it returns to the default. 5. Send a test.

Email Testing Checklist

Before launch, test:

  • Order receipt.
  • Refund receipt.
  • Failed payment.
  • Subscription welcome.
  • Subscription cancellation.
  • Invoice email.
  • License key email if selling software.
  • Payment recovery email if selling subscriptions.

Admin Notifications

Notifications appear in admin areas for important store events.

Admins can:

  • Review notifications.
  • Filter by severity.
  • Dismiss notifications.
  • Bulk dismiss notifications.

Severity levels include:

  • Information.
  • Success.
  • Warning.
  • Error.
