Create A Membership Product
1. Open AweCommerce, then Products. 2. Add or edit product. 3. Select Membership product type. 4. Add product title, description, and images. 5. Configure membership settings. 6. Add a one-time or recurring price. 7. Save product. 8. Run a test purchase. 9. Confirm the buyer receives membership access.
Protect Content By Category
1. Create or choose a WordPress category. 2. Assign protected content to that category. 3. Edit the membership product. 4. Open Access settings. 5. Add category access. 6. Save. 7. Test as a buyer with membership. 8. Test as a visitor without membership.
Protect Content By Tag
1. Create or choose a tag. 2. Assign protected content to the tag. 3. Edit the membership product. 4. Add tag access. 5. Save. 6. Test access.
Protect Specific Content
1. Edit the membership product. 2. Open Access settings. 3. Choose specific pages, posts, or eligible content. 4. Save. 5. Test with a buyer and non-buyer.
Grant A Role To Buyers
Use role grants when another plugin or theme checks WordPress roles.
1. Edit product. 2. Open Access settings. 3. Choose role access. 4. Select or create the buyer role. 5. Save. 6. Purchase as a test buyer. 7. Confirm the user receives the role.
Grant A Capability To Buyers
Use capability grants for advanced WordPress access needs.
1. Edit product. 2. Open Access settings. 3. Choose capability access. 4. Select the capability. 5. Save. 6. Test carefully with a non-admin buyer.
Avoid granting powerful capabilities to normal customers.
Manual Grants
Use manual grants when support needs to give a customer access without a checkout.
1. Open AweCommerce, then Grants. 2. Create a manual grant. 3. Select customer or user. 4. Choose access type. 5. Set expiration if needed. 6. Save. 7. Confirm access works.
Revoke Access
1. Open Grants. 2. Find the grant. 3. Revoke the grant. 4. Confirm the customer no longer has access.
Refunds, subscription cancellations, or expired access can also revoke access depending on the source and policy.
