Products are the items buyers can view and purchase.
Product Types
AweCommerce supports these product types:
- Virtual product.
- Downloadable product.
- Service.
- Membership.
- Software.
A product can use more than one type. For example, a software product is usually also downloadable.
Create A Basic Product
1. Open AweCommerce, then Products. 2. Select Add New. 3. Enter product title. 4. Add product description. 5. Add short description if needed. 6. Add featured image or gallery. 7. Choose product categories. 8. Select product type. 9. Add a price. 10. Configure tax rate if needed. 11. Save or publish. 12. View the product page. 13. Add it to cart as a test buyer.
Add Product Categories
1. Open Products. 2. Open Product Categories. 3. Add category name. 4. Add description if helpful. 5. Save. 6. Edit products and assign categories.
Categories help buyers filter or compare products on the Shop page.
Add Product Gallery
1. Edit product. 2. Open the Gallery panel. 3. Add images. 4. Reorder images if needed. 5. Save. 6. View product page and confirm the gallery works.
Archive A Product
Archive products instead of deleting when the product has past orders, subscriptions, licenses, or reports.
1. Open AweCommerce, then Products. 2. Find the product. 3. Use Archive. 4. Confirm it no longer appears for purchase. 5. Confirm existing customers still retain access where appropriate.
Product Launch Checklist
Before publishing:
- Product title is clear.
- Product description explains the offer.
- Images are correct.
- Product category is assigned.
- Product type is correct.
- At least one active price exists.
- Taxes are configured when required.
- Download files are attached when required.
- Membership access is configured when required.
- License policy is configured when required.
- Test purchase succeeds.
