Payment gateways let AweCommerce collect money or record offline payment instructions.
Gateway Overview
Supported payment options are:
- Stripe.
- PayPal.
- Flutterwave.
- Adyen.
- PayMongo.
- 2C2P Antom.
- PayU Latam.
- Store Gateway.
Stripe and PayPal support recurring subscription products. The other payment options are for one-time checkout in the current store.
General Setup Steps
1. Open AweCommerce, then Settings. 2. Open Gateways. 3. Keep the store in test mode. 4. Enable the gateway. 5. Enter test credentials. 6. Save. 7. Use any available connection test. 8. Create a small test product. 9. Complete a test checkout. 10. Confirm the order is paid. 11. Test refund if the gateway supports refunds. 12. Configure live credentials only after test mode works.
Stripe Setup
Use Stripe when you need card payments, wallet payments, saved payment methods, recurring subscriptions, or payment recovery.
Steps:
1. Open the Stripe section. 2. Enable Stripe. 3. Enter test publishable key. 4. Enter test secret key. 5. Enter test webhook secret. 6. Choose payment method options. 7. Save. 8. Test a one-time order. 9. Test a refund. 10. If selling subscriptions, test a subscription purchase and renewal event. 11. Test payment method update from the customer portal.
PayPal Setup
Use PayPal for PayPal checkout, captures, refunds, plans, and subscriptions.
Steps:
1. Open the PayPal section. 2. Enable PayPal. 3. Enter sandbox client details. 4. Enter sandbox webhook details. 5. Save. 6. Test a one-time payment. 7. Test capture and refund. 8. If selling subscriptions, test a recurring product. 9. Confirm subscription events update the subscription record.
Flutterwave Setup
Use Flutterwave for one-time hosted checkout in supported markets.
Steps:
1. Open Flutterwave. 2. Enable Flutterwave. 3. Enter public key. 4. Enter secret key. 5. Enter webhook secret hash. 6. Choose allowed countries and payment methods if needed. 7. Save. 8. Test a one-time checkout.
Do not use Flutterwave for subscription products in the current implementation.
Adyen Setup
Use Adyen for one-time checkout with cards, wallets, bank redirects, and local payment methods.
Steps:
1. Open Adyen. 2. Enable Adyen. 3. Enter merchant account. 4. Enter account credentials. 5. Enter client details. 6. Enter webhook security details. 7. Save. 8. Test a one-time checkout. 9. Test refund if required.
Do not use Adyen for subscription products in the current implementation.
PayMongo Setup
Use PayMongo for one-time payments in supported regions.
Steps:
1. Open PayMongo. 2. Enable PayMongo. 3. Enter public key. 4. Enter secret key. 5. Enter webhook secret. 6. Save. 7. Test a one-time checkout.
Antom Setup
Use 2C2P Antom for one-time hosted checkout across supported markets.
Steps:
1. Open Antom. 2. Enable Antom. 3. Enter client identity. 4. Enter merchant private key. 5. Enter Antom public key. 6. Choose allowed countries, currencies, or payment methods if needed. 7. Save. 8. Test a one-time checkout.
PayU Latam Setup
Use PayU Latam for one-time hosted checkout in supported Latin American markets.
Steps:
1. Open PayU Latam. 2. Enable PayU Latam. 3. Enter merchant details. 4. Enter account details. 5. Enter security credentials. 6. Choose allowed countries, currencies, or payment methods if needed. 7. Save. 8. Test a one-time checkout.
Store Gateway Setup
Use Store Gateway for offline or manual payment methods such as bank transfer, check, cash, invoice, or in-person card terminal.
Steps:
1. Open Store Gateway. 2. Enable it. 3. Set the label buyers will see. 4. Add payment instructions. 5. Save. 6. Run a checkout. 7. Confirm instructions appear to the buyer. 8. Define an internal process for marking orders paid after payment is received.
Webhook Checklist
For gateways that use webhooks:
1. Add the webhook destination in the gateway dashboard. 2. Enter the webhook signing details in AweCommerce. 3. Trigger a test event. 4. Confirm the event appears in Store Health or Operations. 5. Confirm the event updates an order, refund, or subscription as expected.
