How To Configure Prices Trials And Purchase Options

Prices are the purchase options buyers choose.

Price Types

A product can have:

  • One-time price.
  • Recurring price.
  • Monthly price.
  • Annual price.
  • Trial price.
  • Setup fee plus recurring price.
  • Multiple plan choices.

Add A One-Time Price

1. Edit product. 2. Open Payment Options. 3. Add a price. 4. Name the price. 5. Enter amount. 6. Confirm it is not recurring. 7. Mark it active. 8. Mark it visible at checkout. 9. Save product. 10. Test checkout.

Add A Recurring Price

1. Edit product. 2. Open Payment Options. 3. Add a price. 4. Name the price. 5. Enter recurring amount. 6. Enable recurring billing. 7. Choose billing period. 8. Choose billing frequency. 9. Add billing cycle limit if the plan should end automatically. 10. Mark it active. 11. Save. 12. Test with Stripe or PayPal.

Add A Free Trial

1. Edit product. 2. Open the recurring price. 3. Set trial length. 4. Decide whether payment method is required during trial. 5. Save. 6. Test checkout. 7. Confirm the subscription starts in trial state. 8. Confirm the customer can see trial details in the portal.

Add A Setup Fee

1. Edit product. 2. Open the recurring price. 3. Add setup fee. 4. Save. 5. Test checkout. 6. Confirm the initial payment and future payment amounts are clear.

Configure Multiple Price Choices

Use multiple prices when buyers should choose between options such as monthly and annual.

1. Edit product. 2. Add each price. 3. Give each price a clear name. 4. Confirm every active price is visible when it should be. 5. Save. 6. View product page. 7. Confirm buyers can choose the intended price.

Purchase Button Labels

Use purchase button settings to make the call to action match the offer.

Examples:

  • Buy now.
  • Subscribe.
  • Start trial.
